In recent years, there has been increasing public attention and legislative activity at all levels of government relating to the care and treatment of dogs. As responsible dog owners and breeders, we all want to ensure that those who mistreat animals are held accountable for their actions. However, legislation to address such issues should not have a negative impact on people who own, show, breed, raise, and train dogs in a responsible manner. I am always looking for ways to educate the public on why it is important to buy from a reputable preservation breeder. I recently had my first litter in about 7 years since my divorce. I have been using photos and videos to educate the friends on my Facebook page who are not "dog show" people. I want to show them what "We" do that is different in raising our puppies. I took him to countless conformation training classes and two complete sessions of obedience. Even though he did win a couple times, it just wasn’t meant to be--there would be no conformation titles in Loki’s future.

In fact, they said "all" short-faced dogs are "unhealthy," but I did nothing because these weren't my breed. Basking in the glow of their media campaign and spurred on by breeder apathy, they will move on.
