Bulldog Club of America (BCA)

BCA is the National Parent Club for the American Kennel Club (AKC) registered Bulldog.

Why join BCA?  Bulldog Club of America membership provides you with the latest updates on breed health, the National Standard, and activities pertaining to our favorite breed, the Bulldog.

Membership dues are $35 per domestic member.  Canada and Mexico are $45.  All other Foreign members are $75.

The Bulldogger is included with your membership.  This is BCA’s premier publication.  In it you’ll find feature stories written by people who know Bulldogs best.  Advertisers promote their award-winning dogs and upcoming events.  New champions and title holders are featured.  Noteworthy accomplishments of BCA members are also presented in The Bulldogger.

What do you need to do to join?

  • An Application is available for you to fill out online.  If you prefer to print an application and fill it out later you may use this PDF Application.

  • You will need a sponsor who is already a member of BCA.

    • We can help you find a sponsor. 
    • You may find a sponsor by joining your local club, visiting a local breeder or getting involved with rescue
    • You may also contact our BCA National Committee Membership Advisory Chair if you need additional help locating a sponsor.
  • If you have discussed your interest with a current BCA member and they have agreed to sponsor you into our membership, please fill out the Membership Application Form.

  • You can locate your Division HERE and find the name and address of your Division Secretary.

  • Foreign applicants should mail the application to the Division Secretary of your Sponsor's Division.

  • Your completed application will be submitted to your BCA Division Board for its consideration at its next quarterly meeting.

    •  If your  application, signed by you and your sponsor, are not submitted with payment, it may cause delay or rejection of your membership.
    • You will be notified of the action taken on your application by the Secretary of your Division.

If you prefer to download the application and print out on paper to fill out and mail please follow the steps outlined below:

  • Step One:
    You can open a fillable .PDF Membership form on your browser by clicking Membership Application

  • Step Two:
    Save the membership application to your computer by right clicking on the PDF and saving the file.  Open in the Free Adobe PDF Reader, fill out the information by clicking in the fields.  Save again.

  • Step Three:
    Print it out, sign  and have your sponsor sign.

  • Step Four:
    Mail the  signed copy of the application, along with your dues payment, to the Division Secretary where you reside.  If you do not reside within the United States, BCA considers your application as one for foreign membership. Foreign applicants should mail the application to the Division Secretary of your Sponsor's Division. (Membership dues are $35 per domestic member.  Canada and Mexico are $45.  All other Foreign members are $75.)

  • Step Five:

Once approved, you will receive triannual copies of the Club's publication "The Bulldogger," receive login access to the member pages on the website, be eligible to vote in BCA elections and hold Local and National BCA offices.

Please note:  All memberships become due on January 1 each year.  If you join any time after January 1st you will receive all triannual "The Bulldogger" magazines for the entire year even if you join later in the year.
