I am always looking for ways to educate the public on why it is important to buy from a reputable preservation breeder. I recently had my first litter in about 7 years since my divorce.

I have been using photos and videos to educate the friends on my Facebook page who are not "dog show" people. I want to show them what "We" do that is different in raising our puppies. I want them to have something to compare to when they are buying a puppy.

I think ALL of us as breeders sharing our litter stories and what we put into raising the puppies can make an impact on what they look for from a breeder. I have received many private messages from people in regards to this and they had no idea the time and effort involved.

You know how some parents get that one child that tests them at every turn? Loki is mine. We show conformation and as anyone who has witnessed can testify, lord knows we tried with Loki. Loki just had no interest in keeping all 4 feet on the floor, much less standing still. He yodeled, spun, crawled up my legs, and removed any shred of humility I had left. I took him to countless conformation training classes and two complete sessions of obedience. Even though he did win a couple times, it just wasn’t meant to be--there would be no conformation titles in Loki’s future.

“They said "all" Bulldogs are "unhealthy," but I did nothing because it isn't my breed. They said "all" Pugs are "unhealthy," but I did nothing because it isn't my breed. They said "all" French Bulldogs are "unhealthy," but I did nothing because it isn't my breed. They said "all" Pekingese are "unhealthy," but I did nothing because it isn't my breed. In fact, they said "all" short-faced dogs are "unhealthy," but I did nothing because these weren't my breed. Basking in the glow of their media campaign and spurred on by breeder apathy, they will move on.
