Members have always had the ability to edit their own profiles by clicking the blue button at the top of the website. Clicking Login, or if already logged in their name, at the top of the website brings up the login screen, or if already logged in it shows the profile of the member. The edit options include all personal information the member may change. If a member is a Breeder Referral member the specific options for Breeder referral may be changed in your profile. If the member is an AKC judge that information is also available for change in your profile.

Division Secretaries and Treasurers may now edit and create members using the buttons at the bottom of this page.

These options were created to assist you as Division Secretaries and Treasurers. You are given full access to edit the members information. Having direct access you can quickly add or update members without relying on someone else to do the job and can be done at your convenience.

Previously, membership updating on the BCA website was done by Treasurers or Secretaries sending a spreadsheet to the webmaster. This came about when the website was first updated and there wasn't money in the budget to extend to the development of pages that would implement the code needed to allow for creating or editing the membership (except by someone logged into the website as admin). Due to the complex nature of all that was involved in updating or creatiing new members the webmaster volunteered to do the updating and creating. While she has been happy to do it, it has mostly been hit or miss with notifications from the divisons when updates were needed.

We are going forward with implementing pages to allow the Division Secretaries and Treasurers the ability to create and edit members. This development is made possible by collaboration with ChatGPT AI.

On the below linked pages Secretaries and Treasurers will be required to login to access the forms. Once logged in you will be able to fill out the form to create or edit members.
