Winter weather is in full force this week , so here are some considerations for the cold for your furry friends:
Keep your dogs’ coat and paws dry after time outside (towel or blow dry). A little petroleum jelly may be helpful to keep paw pads from cracking.
Watch for salts or antifreeze on driveways and sidewalks. These are lethal to pups!
Limit time outside. Wind chills lower actual temperatures and frostbite can set in quickly.
Just like humans, dogs are susceptible to colds and viruses over the winter. Watch for symptoms and take your dog to the vet if needed.
