The Bulldog Club of America’s Breeder Referral Program is a free service of The Bulldog Club of America (BCA) to link prospective buyers and breeders. Division III strongly recommends that you ONLY purchase bulldogs from a BCA Breeder identified on our Breeder Referral Directory and/or Bulldog Rescue Network. Our Directory only includes Breeder’s that meet the following minimum criteria:
BCA members in good standing for a minimum of three (3) years; and
Have agreed to adhere to the BCA Code of Ethics, BCA Breeder Code of Ethics; and to have complaints
addressed pursuant to Division III, BCA’s Complaint Processing Procedures.
Have completed a Breeder Referral Application and Breeder Referral Applicant Questionnaire in support of their Division III approval for their inclusion on BCA’s Breeder Referral Directory.
It is the obligation of the buyer to become an educated purchaser. There is information elsewhere on this web site and links to many other sites as well as lists of reading material that are intended to provide information to assist a buyer in making an informed decision when purchasing a Bulldog. While many of the obligations arising from placement of a Bulldog are properly the breeders, BCA recommends that prospective buyers carefully consider whether they can meet the responsibilities and costs inherent in owning a Bulldog.
All breeders should educate prospective Bulldog owners and select owners who will properly care for their Bulldog. BCA strongly encourages breeders and buyers to carefully document, in writing, all representations, promises, statements, warranties and guarantees relating to the purchase of a Bulldog. Additionally, many states have specific laws governing the sale of dogs that both breeder and buyer should investigate.
BCA strongly encourages all breeders to adopt ethical breeding and business practices. However, BCA cannot and does not inspect, monitor or regulate the breeding or business practices of breeders located through the referral process. It is the obligation of the breeder and purchaser to make informed decisions whether to complete the purchase of a Bulldog. BCA does not endorse, guarantee, recommend or approve any particular breeder. BCA disclaims any liability or obligation for the health, temperament or any other aspects of Bulldogs purchased through breeders identified by use of this site. All liability and obligations relating to the purchase of the Bulldog should be determined in writing by the parties as recommended above.
BCA makes every effort to present accurate and reliable information on this site, but BCA does not endorse, approve or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, efficacy or timeliness of such information or information on any site to which this site provides a link.
